Fancy being part of a New Year’s Revolution? Then this is for you.

Endings always provide us with an opportunity to reflect and assess what has gone before. Most of us get to new year’s day and have a list of ‘intentions’ for the next year – lose weight, get fit, get a new job…they’re all things that can help us feel better about our lives – but how long does that feeling last?

new beginning

How many of us can remember years when we set ourselves up with all these resolutions, only to beat ourselves up for not sticking with it and then feel ourselves a failure? Or maybe you are one of the people who can remember achieving what you thought you really wanted – maybe it felt great for a while, but did the pleasure of making those changes continue to endure as life threw you some ups and downs?

When we put time and effort into making the changes to our external life it can feel amazing. But as we all know, life is a constant flow, ever changing and bringing us new challenges to face. So as time passes, we notice that the weight we heroically lost by sticking to a rigorous diet finally starts to creep back on again. Or the new job that we thought was the answer to our dreams suddenly feels ‘every day’ and rather like our old one. The flow of life can feel as though it tarnishes our achievements and batters us down, so how about this new year doing it differently?

Finding Inner Peace

How about working on loving yourself on the inside or being your own best friend? How about finding compassion, kindness and love for yourself – so that all of life’s twists and turns don’t spin you off into a downward spiral of destruction?

If we have balance and peace on the inside then we can connect to ourselves in a different way. We can see beyond the surface ‘noise’ of life’s everyday because somehow we are connected to the bigger picture.

Our culture isn’t one that teaches us about emotional wellbeing. We are intellectually brilliant, striving to achieve, however often many of us still feel like small confused children on the inside struggling to make sense of how to find peace and happiness in our lives. Fundamentally, finding contentment in life comes down to who we are in our hearts and how we feel about ourselves. It’s about trust in the flow of life and a belief that we really can make a difference.

dream biggerI use homeopathy and flower essences to help people create some radical transformation in their lives and that’s one of many ways to begin or deepen your journey.   There are many, many extraordinary people out there, touching people’s lives and supporting people who are looking to expand their consciousness and nurture their inner growth. I have started a list of the people that have helped me transform my life below – please, please do add to it!

The idea behind this ‘New Year’s Revolution’ is for us to come together – to spread the word about inner growth. Let’s create a network of contacts and ideas, sharing names of people who can help us facilitate the changes that we truly desire. If you have read this and can contribute by adding a name of someone you have worked with then please add it below in the reply box. Forward this blog on to anyone you think might be interested – let’s try and grow this list so that we create a community.

I would love to create a database of all the amazing people who are there to help us on this journey and I would also like to create a mailing list for anyone that is interested in receiving the ‘New Year’s Revolution’ newsletter. So, if you are interested in being a part of this in any way then please do get in touch! It would be fantastic to have your input.

AMAZING PEOPLE LIST….

YOGA Kate Atkinson katkinson108@gmail.com

Kate is a deeply insightful hatha yoga teacher. She creates an incredibly nurturing, safe environment for each yogi to take their practice as deeply as they wish. She works in a very spiritual way and I have found her classes to be incredibly inspiriring and transformational. She works from Tring in Hertfordshire and I can particularly recommend her Thursday evening classes – they are amazing.

FLOWER ESSENCESSteve Johnson - www.alaskanessences.com

This is where the Alaskan Essences story began, with this incredible man.  He started creating essences in 1984 and the range has flourished from there.  He is an incredible man – deeply insightful, compassionate and inspirational and you can either book a session with him or go and see him lecture all over the world.  The Alaskan essences are incredibly special – do look at the website as there is an incredible amount of information available there, as well as the chance to subscribe to the Alaskan Essences Living Book.

“The Alaskan Flower Essence Project is the only essence company in the world that has designed a system of vibrational healing based on the co-creative relationship that exists between the plant, mineral, and elemental kingdoms. This threefold system derives its effectiveness from the special qualities of healing energy that each kingdom has to offer, and from the synergy that is created when these essences are used together. “

INNER HEALING AND TRANSFORMATION

Peter Tadd www.petertadd.com

Peter is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met and he has helped me so much. He is a clairvoyant chakra specialist and one of the things he offers is personal healing sessions and readings. He also offers transformational courses – do look at his website, it has so much information.

“As a therapist, I have found that clairvoyance is a very accurate means of pinpointing precisely the areas and occurrences of trauma, whether in childhood or in former lives. Most healing sessions include an overview of the soul’s journey. The reading helps to place life’s personal and professional situations into a context.  Each session is unique, as is each person. With that information, I can then determine the best method to help heal and encourge you to effectively embrace the future with greater clarity and confidence.  I experience a clairvoyant healing as very interactive. As the session begins to flow, healing forces are sent to the areas in the body and chakras and aura that “call out” to me.

Each session starts with a chakra and aura scan. The meaning of various colors and forms in and around the minor and major charkas are discussed. A clairvoyant reading is, itself, a healing process.

Healing sessions vary. You might benefit from advice, which would be a “reading” or we could determine your need for other therapies as explained below under Types of Treatment.  In the same session, one or more different treatments can be given, depending upon the time allowed.”

THE THREE PRINCIPLESIan Watson – www.theinsightspace.com

I have had the pleasure of working with Ian at different times and in different ways over the last 11 years. He is such a lovely man and I have found that, within moments of starting work with him, my transformation is well under way – he’s great! Below is an excerpt about the work he is currently doing with the Three Principles, something that is making an extraordinary difference to so many people’s lives.

“The Insight Space provides high-quality education, facilitation and training services based on the Three Principles understanding discovered by the late Sydney Banks. This simple approach brings about rapid, gentle and sustainable change and is transforming lives throughout the world.

After a lifetime working in the self-help field, these principles supplied the ‘missing link’ in my own understanding of how human suffering gets created, and how simply it can be prevented and relieved.

There are no techniques to practice, nothing to remember and no dogma that you have to believe in. Your own wisdom knows what is right for you better than anyone else in the world. Our only task is to listen deeply, to understand, and to act on what we know to be true.

We have an ongoing programme of training courses and events in the U.K., Republic of Ireland and overseas. We also offer consulting, coaching and mentoring services to individuals, couples and organizations.”

THE THREE PRINCIPLES RETREATSSusie Hodder-Williams and Chris Caldwellwww.leadingedgeretreats.com

I am lucky enough to have Susie and Chris as great friends. They are both amazingly talented musicians and also trained as facilitators of the Three Principles of Mind Consciousness and Throught (with the Insight Space). They are offering beautiful retreats in London, Dartmoor and the Alpujarras. Amazing.

“Come and join us for some music, time and relaxation and an opportunity to explore exactly how our thoughts are creating our own sense of reality. As we ourselves have deepened our understanding and awareness, we have been able to work more efficiently and create music with more spontaneity and clarity, free of judgement.

Mind is the universal intelligence behind the whole of life

Consciousness creates an awareness of what we call reality

Thought is the power we use to create our moment to moment existence – Sydney Banks

Based on these three universal principles, our retreats offer time and space for you to explore and observe the nature of thought, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.”

BODY-SOUL COACHMiriam Lindermanwww.miriamlinderman.com

Miriam is out there helping people to transform their lifelong issues around food, weight and body image – issues that so many of us have and are struggling with. Lovely to see a new approach that can bring lasting peace.

“If you are struggling to make peace with food and your body image and you are longing for a long-term solution, you’re in the right place.

I know how debilitating it is to be preoccupied with your body and food, and how difficult it is to love yourself, or accept love from others, when you are uncomfortable in your skin.

That was me.

That was what drove me to becoming a body-soul coach, focused on helping men and women create the life they love in a body they love.

I care deeply about you being successful in all aspects of your life. I want you living a life of creativity and joy. When you shift those areas that aren’t working in your life,  food and body image issues naturally recede.

That means letting go of external expectations and doing the things that nurture your soul. Let your love and talents spill over into your world. That’s my wish for you.”

CRANIAL OSTEOPATH

Andrew Bryant – www.thelifecentre.com

Andrew is a wonderful man.  He is such a gifted and talented osteopath and cranial osteopath.  He is brilliant at sorting out any physical problems you may have, but what not so many people know is that he is at the top of his field when it comes to healing on an energetic, emotional and cellular level. This man is exceptional and I recommend him so much!!! It’s healing at a completely different level.  Wow.

“Andrew has been in Osteopathic practice in Central London for 22 years, mainly based at The Life Centre. Using osteopathic and mainly cranial osteopathic techniques Andrew has treated many different conditions and problems ranging from stress related issues to serious physical trauma following accidents, head injury, sports injuries, spinal and joint problems, headaches, migraines and post operative recovery.
Andrew has also specialised in the treatment of mums and babies, treating a range of pregnancy related problems and also babies for conditions such as colic, reflux, feeding and sleeping issues and birth trauma resulting from difficult delivery.”

ENLIGHTENED PARENTING

Rachel Macy Stafford – www.handsfreemama.com

I have only recently discovered Rachel’s website and my first reading of her blogs had tears pouring down my cheeks. Her extraordinary honesty about her struggles with parenting and the way she has transformed her experience of motherhood and her relationship with her children is so inspiring. When we are this truthful our potential for transformation is limitless.

“Hands Free Mama is the digital society’s answer to finding balance in a media-saturated, perfection-obsessed world. It doesn’t mean giving up all technology forever. It doesn’t mean forgoing our jobs and responsibilities. What it does mean is seizing the little moments that life offers us to engage in real and meaningful interaction. It means looking our loved ones in the eye and giving them the gift of our undivided attention, leaving the laundry till later to dance with our kids in the rain, and living a present, authentic, and intentional life despite a world full of distractions.”

HOMEOPATHY AND FLOWER ESSENCES

Hilary Barnett – www.hilarybarnett.com

I have had the privilege of seeing Hilary as my own homeopath as well as being taught by her in student clinics during my homeopathy training. Her approach to inner healing using homeopathy and flower essences is so gentle, incredibly deep and utterly beautiful.

My interest in homeopathy started almost 25 years ago with the birth of my children.  It has now become a passion. I am a member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths and for the past 14 years have run a successful homeopathic clinic in Ewell Village, Surrey.

I have also done extensive training with Steve Johnson of the Alaskan Flower Essence Project.  I find that combining these essences with homeopathic remedies is the most powerful medium for facilitating change

My particular interests include teaching anatomy and physiology of the endocrine system through the chakras, combining remedies and essences, and space clearing.

If you can think of someone who has helped you or you know can help others then post it here in the reply box at the bottom of the page. Pass this on, let’s start a revolution – a revolution to find inner peace, love and contentment – for ourselves and one another. Thanks!
